BUTUAN CITY – The areas placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 due to Tropical Storm Tino include the province of Dinagat Islands, Siargao Island, and Bucas Grande Islands in Surigao del Norte, as well as Eastern Samar.

This comes after the storm, internationally known as Kalmaegi, entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), prompting PAGASA to raise Signal No. 1.

According to the latest weather bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the center of Tropical Storm Tino was estimated to be located 815 km east of Eastern Visayas (11.3°N, 133.2°E). It carries maximum sustained winds of up to 95 km/h near the center and gusts reaching up to 115 km/h, while moving west-northwestward at a speed of 30 km/h.

Meanwhile, the shear line is also affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon, while the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) continues to influence the rest of Northern Luzon.
