BUTUAN CITY- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) invited the public on Valentine’s Day, February 14, to send names that will be included in the upcoming journey to the Moon as part of the Artemis II mission.

In its Valentine’s Day post, the space agency encouraged people to register the names of their loved ones to be part of this extraordinary lunar mission.

Registration can be done through NASA’s official website, and all submitted names will be stored on an SD card aboard the Orion spacecraft once Artemis II is launched this year.

Artemis II will be the first crewed flight to the Moon, carrying four astronauts on a 10-day mission scheduled for April at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

This historic flight will mark the first human journey aboard the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft, serving as a crucial step toward future crewed missions on the lunar surface and preparing NASA for eventual astronaut expeditions to Mars.
