BUTUAN CITY – Ninety-two individuals from 17 barangays in Surigao City have successfully completed the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP), with a graduation ceremony held on June 24, 2025.
The group, made up of 79 men and 13 women, underwent several months of structured rehabilitation to help them recover and reintegrate into society.
The event was attended by local officials including Vice Mayor Alfonso Casurra and other key leaders from health and social services.
The program, led by Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II and coordinated by various city offices, highlights Surigao City’s commitment to helping people overcome drug use and start anew through community support and inclusive recovery programs.
