BUTUAN CITY – An inquest has been conducted in the case against two suspects accused of trafficking illegal drugs, including the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman of Brgy. Masao in Butuan City, along with another high-value individual.
In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo Butuan, PCPT Fritzcel Cubillan, spokesperson for the Butuan City Police Office, confirmed that the suspects were detained at the City Police Station 1, and authorities are now awaiting the results of their drug tests.
It was revealed that the arrested individuals include the SK chairman of Barangay Masao, known by the alias “Kenth,” along with another suspect identified only as “Baki.”
The two were caught in a drug bust operation on April 24, at 10 pm, conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and the Butuan City Police Station 1 (BCPS-1).
Authorities confiscated around 170,000 pesos worth of illegal drugs, including approximately 25 grams of suspected shabu. Also seized were Android phones, buy-bust money, and various drug paraphernalia.
PCPT Cubillan further emphasized the ongoing investigation, stating that the authorities are working diligently to process the case.
