BUTUAN CITY – Iran launched a series of retaliatory airstrikes on Israel late Friday night, triggering explosions in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, the country’s two largest cities.
The attack came in response to what Iran described as Israel’s largest-ever military strike against it. Air raid sirens blared across Israeli cities, prompting authorities to urge residents to seek immediate shelter. Eyewitnesses reported missiles streaking across the Tel Aviv skyline as the Israeli military confirmed that Iran had fired two separate salvos.
