BUTUAN CITY – A man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a passenger bus around 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, in Purok 1, Barangay Dumalagan, Butuan City.
The victim was identified as Neil B. Autor, a resident of District 2, Barangay Culit, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.
According to dashcam footage from the bus, the motorcycle was heading toward Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, while the bus was coming from Cagayan de Oro and headed to Butuan City. Upon reaching the area, the motorcycle suddenly swerved into the opposite lane and crashed into the front of the bus.
Autor was pinned under the right side of the bus and died on the spot. His body was brought to the Agusan del Norte Provincial Hospital in Barangay Libertad.
The bus driver is currently in the custody of Butuan City Police Station 3 for investigation and proper legal action.
