BUTUAN CITY – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon as the new head of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), following the resignation of Secretary Manuel Bonoan, which takes effect on September 1, 2025.
The appointment comes as part of the administration’s efforts to ensure continuity in infrastructure development and improve efficiency within the department.
Dizon has been tasked with leading a full organizational review of the DPWH and is expected to prioritize the proper use of public funds for infrastructure projects nationwide. His successor at the Department of Transportation has yet to be announced.
