BUTUAN CITY – A raid conducted by the police in Surigao City together with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Surigao del Norte provincial office and Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office resulted to the arrest of leaders and members of the Federal Tribal Government of the Philippines (FTGP).

This after serving an arrest warrant at six o’clock in the morning issued by the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) for the case of usurpation of authority under Article 177 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines.

In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo Butuan, Surigao City Police Station Chief PLtCol. Mariano Lukban revealed that the compound occupied by Datu Adlaw (Jorgeto Santisas), Bae Lourdes Latraca Infante, and their group is no longer inhabited, as it is now under their custody.

Col. Lukban clarified that the case has a bail set at ₱30,000 per charge, while three other cases that have been resolved by the City Prosecutor’s Office, which were found to have probable cause, arrest warrants for those will also be issued.

Meanwhile, the serious offenses committed by the group are still under preliminary investigation at the City Prosecutor’s Office, where no bail has been set.

These include two counts of large-scale illegal recruitment, serious illegal detention, violations of the Qualified Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, and multiple violations of the Cybercrime Law.

The group did not resist arrest and was caught off guard when the authorities arrived, which is why they were immediately apprehended.
