BUTUAN CITY – Former Butuan City Police Director, PCOL Marco Bandojo Archinue, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, after suffering a sudden medical emergency while performing official duties.
Archinue, 52, who was assigned at the Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13), was rushed to Ace Hospital in Brgy. Villakananga at around 5:18 PM after experiencing severe chest pain and difficulty in breathing. He had taken a break from working on his compliance documents related to the drafting of PNP Legislative Bills when the symptoms began.
Despite immediate medical intervention, he was pronounced dead at 7:19 PM by attending physician Dr. Nina Asiniero, MD.
The cause of death was identified as cardiogenic shock.
PCOL Archinue was widely respected in the police service and previously served as the City Director of Butuan City Police Office, where he was known for his commitment to public safety and community engagement.
