BUTUAN CITY – Texas Democratic Representative Al Green has filed articles of impeachment against U.S. President Donald Trump, following the president’s recent airstrikes in Iran.

In a speech before the U.S. House of Representatives, Green described Trump’s actions as “illegal and unconstitutional.” He emphasized that U.S. military actions, such as airstrikes, require congressional approval—a step he believes Trump bypassed.

The House vote on the matter resulted in 344 in favor and 79 against. Notably, 128 of those who supported the measure were Democrats, members of Trump’s own party.

This marks another attempt to impeach Trump. During his first term in office, he faced two impeachment attempts, both of which ended in acquittal by the Senate.
