BUTUAN CITY – A 30-year-old man, identified as “Piko,” was arrested by Valenzuela City Police on January 17 for allegedly shooting a minor during an altercation.
According to the police report, the victim, along with his four friends, was approached by Piko, who drew a gun and fired at one of the group members, “B,” but missed.
As the group fled in fear, the victim, “A,” was struck in the left buttock. The suspects then escaped towards Barangay Parada, while the victim and friends sought help from Barangay Karuhatan rescue personnel, who rushed “A”, a 15-year-old boy to the hospital.
Authorities later identified Piko as the shooter, and it was revealed that he had a previous dispute with “B” in December 2024, during which he allegedly threatened revenge.
Piko faces charges of frustrated murder and attempted murder, while police continue searching for the firearm and his two accomplices.
